How did India's film industry become the most prolific in the world, and how have weak IP frameworks held it back? Now, in the face of COVID-19, how can the nation position itself for the future?
I keep saying this, that India and Nigeria, Bollywood and Nollywood share much semblance in many ways, including the nonchalant attitude each displays towards IP rights enforcement.
Hopefully, not just Bollywood but the entire global movie industry, comes out of the Covid-19 pandemic, better than they went in.
I would agree, there are a number of similarities between the Indian film industry and the Nigerian film industry. The hope is that this period of stagnation gives everyone an opportunity to take stock and come back to business ready to make meaningful long term changes. Thanks for reading!
